Fitting song title. I feel like I am very close to breaking through with these oldVukus. They still hold secrets and will not tell me (Sarah even admitted this to me). But it's almost there!

I told Sarah about the idol. I want her to be my real F2 now. We will see what happens.
It would not surprise me if she goes to tell her other Vuku about it.

I think it's pretty likely that there will be a group formed between the four Vuku here and me as an ancillary fifth. I would be totally down with that.

I have had so many things go wrong for me in this game already. Another close ally, Jaime, leaving, is just icing on the cake.

The double boot happens now. I'm fairly confident in my ability to make it past this round. Unless these people are just gaslighting, Spencer is dead if he does not win Immunity, and Phoebe is the back up option. But the booting of Jaime and Brenda troubles me. They are both pretty charismatic people -- Brenda more than Jaime, and the fact that oldVuku stuck together that hard means that the people on the other side are likely locked-in to an oldVuku endgame. And if the merge happens where Phoebe and I are the only two Rarotongas left... well, I think I'm probably more "threatening" than Phoebe. I played up the underdog role in RT on purpose. It likely wasn't that true -- I was well connected. But now, well, now I'm an underdog.

I'm fairly sure that Sarah and Hayden are close by now, and I think that if I could get a three-person alliance with them at least.. It may go a long way to ensure my survival.
My philosophy with the idol right now is that it's not really THAT useful as a means to any end. Sure, I can survive one more round with it, but it's true utility is using it to establish trust in people (re: Sarah, maybe Hayden later) & a way of making a "big move" at some point to ensure my further survival. If I'm just using the idol to get by one more round, that's kind of useless. Gotta use its power in a more social way.

I think that Aubrey has the other idol and Sarah now knows where the two idols are. Probably. She's good.

So Phoebe's strategy for this vote is to...
Wait and see if the people in the majority are going to make a first move. Spencer, on the other hand, admitted that he was going to campaign against me, but so far has not made much progress with anyone -- instead saying that he is "weak player" who could be a vote. He also declared this season...
I disagree, for the record. This has been really funny and hopefully entertaining for you all.

Just got dragged into a Phoebe/Locky/I alliance seemingly out of nowhere. I did not see that one coming.

Update: I suggested the alliance to be called the Australian-American Alliance, or Triple A, mostly because of the stupidity of sharing an alliance name with a car company. They loved it.

I also just realized how horrendously this could go if we have one more round on this tribe & lose: I would undoubtedly want Phoebe to go, but Locky would try to protect her with me. I'm guessing the vote would likely go on Jefra if that was the case.

I figured if the merge happens, it'd be good to get my thoughts on paper about the people who I plan to work with. This is all contingent on me not getting blindsided this round.
Locky - Probably the most gamebotty out of the oldVuku four. He is sometimes interesting to talk to, but he also gives me the most sketchy/strategist vibe. I've hinted to everyone that I'd like this tribe to stick together at the merge, and he was really one of the few who gave some pushback to that instead of offering me empty promises. The good news, though, is that I think he plans on including me on his plans for now.
Sarah - My new number #1. Smart, funny, and social. She's the total package and the only one in this game who KNOWS I have the idol, although I suspect that Silas will have sold out to the oldVuku on his tribe. My only concern with Sarah at this point is that she is smart enough to know the type of game I'm playing: extremely social and open to any sort of conversation. She's offhandly questioned my loyalty to her a few times already, which is sort of suspicious given that I told her that I had the fucking idol.
Hayden - I like Hayden a lot and we actually are pretty remarkably similar in our tastes. Sometimes he can be a bit dry to talk to. At this point, I think Hayden is courting me to be a number and maybe not an ally, but I could be wrong here. I feel like he is also kind of unaware of how I'm working with every other member of his tribe at this point. That being said, I trust Hayden the second most here, and Sarah and I have already talked about me telling Hayden that I have the idol.
Jefra - The most entertaining person here. She has told me she talks to me ten times more than her old tribemates. I'm not quite sure if that's true, but if it is, it's a good thing. She can be someone I can work with long-term. The only problem, I think, is that she presumably has not done the work with her old tribemates to get involved in their long-term plans. But I sincerely hope I can go far with her -- out of everyone here, I'd like to sit with her at the end. Both because she's a joy to talk to and because I think I could win against her (that's thinking waaaayyyy far ahead).
Phoebe - Meh. I like her. I think she likes me. We are ostensibly aligned, but, man, I don't know. I'd rather have her go sooner rather than later, even though she's probably more reliable an ally than most here. She's just so hard to talk to at times and I can't get much out of her. But sometimes you have to sacrifice a little bit of fun for added security. And for now, she's added security. I'd much rather her be here than Spencer, of course.
