I just realized that I'll be DMing Pathfinder tomorrow night and can't make the challenge. Tough setback. I'll need to find a path forward here.

I have working deals with Jaime and Chelsea. I am talking to Brenda and having perhaps one of the most strangest conversations I have ever had.

James' key to playing his character is apparently using y'all as a singular pronoun, which is already getting on my fucking nerves after talking to him for two minutes.

Perhaps surprisingly, I think I'm in an okay position in case we lose. I've talked to everyone except Marcus, and have working agreements with Jaime, Chelsea, and Spencer. Brenda and Silas have also mentioned that they would like to work with me in passing, although we haven't really made it official.
I could be wrong. I don't really think I'm great at reading people, especially behind an alias. The goal now is to try to get along with as many people as possible. Form relationships first, then alliances will follow. |

My strategy for these games used to be to find my #1 and run the game with them. I think I may have found that with Jaime, although I'm not sure if is as socially savvy as I'd like her to be. Or at least she's playing me like she isn't. We plan on doing the Dale Carnegie strategy of forming a majority.
- Aim right now is Silas, Brenda, Jaime, myself, and Chelsea.
- One of us will approach a person -- Jaime with Silas, myself with Chelsea or Brenda. We will talk strategy and hopefully get them to name that they either like Jaime/myself. Then, we will bring up the idea of forming an alliance with them, etc.
- Keep on doing this until we get to form a majority where it looks like Jaime and I are not really in control.
- I really hope I can trust Jaime to be good and not backstab me here.
Other thoughts:
- Spencer appears to be older than me, but a complete newbie at ORGs. He's doing the "strategy first, talk later" idea, where he seems to be talking to a few people and asking them about alliances before even doing all those social niceties. That's kind of a rookie mistake,
- Jaime also shares my distaste for James and his use of y'all.
- Marcus appears to be completely MIA for the first day.
- Phoebe is at least somewhat pleasant to talk to, but her timezone issues may come back to bite her, even in quarantine. I feel like timezone issues are the equivalent of "vote the old person out first" of online gaming. Nobody particularly likes it, but it is an easy out if they aren't amazing to talk with.
- I am very concerned I am misplacing my trust in Jaime and completely overplaying this.

Talking to Brenda now. Ran the idea of an alliance with her -- she mentioned the names I suggested to Jaime verbatin. Went over the same spiel I did with Jaime that Brenda/I cannot create the alliance and need to be stealthy about it. Sent Brenda to go talk to Jaime while talking to Jaime about what she say to Brenda. Jaime also mentioned that Silas mentioned Chelsea as the person that he liked the most. Something to keep on top of. They may already be a pair.  |

I am aware that I may be overplaying creating a majority alliance of five when it's the most obvious thing to do at this point. It may all backfire, but man, I remember why I love playing these games so fucking much.
If it works, I'm setting a solid foundation for the rest of the game in that both Brenda and Jaime think I am their #1.

Absolute worse case scenario. I show up, am drunk, and do better than most, but Silas does not. Spencer is pushing hard for Silas. Phoebe apparently created an all-female group chat that Jaime informed me of, but Brenda did not.
Apparently Spencer/James/Marcus are a thing? How the fuck did that happen?

In hindsight, Silas not showing up and me aggressively sticking my neck out for him might actually have worked better for my long term gameplay. I feel like I may be his #1 or #2 at this point. Spencer seems to be getting close with me as well, so if we were to go to Tribal Council next I'd probably want to kill Phoebe or James. Both are interchangeable to me, although I know that there are quite a few different people who get annoyed by James and his schtick.
