Well - here we are. The Final Tribal Council. With that being said, I will start with saying congratulations to you three for making it to the end.

I have had an opportunity to read over your opening statements, as well as your answers to a couple jurors already. I am not going to sit here and write an epic novel picking apart your games, all of which have pros and cons, some more than other. 

For my vote, it is a combination of two things.

1. Of course the ability to outwit, outplay, and outlast, which all of you have done up to this point. However, I believe when you dissect those three components, some of you have certainly done better than others. But there is a second component to my vote…

2. Your ability to manage my vote. Each of you had your reasons to write my name down, and you each knew I was going home. However, how did you send me home? And how was our relationship prior to that tribal at final 7?


Jamal - I've already heard you "emphasize" how impressive it was to make the finals despite being down 9-3 at the merge, which is completely nonsense. NuRaro had established their relationship, which means you were always in the majority, beginning with 6-5 at the merge, and arguable 7-4 if you include Silas. Following that first merge vote, you did nothing to ever connect with me, until after Silas went home and you reached out to me to vent about whatever he said to you. I constantly tried to explain the vote to you, but you had zero desire to listen. You were so incredibly stubborn throughout this game and you have no chance at my vote in this final tribal council. It made me laugh a bit to think you honestly think I would vote for you to win, when you did nothing to ever connect with me in this game. Sure, you did a nice job of outwitting and outlasting, but you did such a poor job at jury management, which is the ultimate twist of this game.

Jefra - I was pretty confused by your opening speech, as were most of the jurors. Did Jamal hack your computer and write up why he should deserve to win this? I think you did a great job at outlasting everyone in this game, but the other components are lacking, which I am sure you will address from other jurors. You wanted Sarah out at F7, and unfortunately it didn’t happen. However, theoretically, let’s say Jamal and/or Phoebe vote out Sarah in that round, then what? What were your plans at a F6 without Sarah? Also, prior to the tribe swap, myself and Alicia both thought we had a solid connection with you. Once the merge happened, we were both completely left out of your game with no chance to work together. Why was that and did you feel any sort of guilt in that decision?

Phoebe - I think you gained the most points by your opening speech. Hayden was the Comp King but you were definitely the Queen in this game, winning 3 individual immunities, including the ever important final immunity in a pretty convincing fashion. You clearly never had me in your future gameplay plans, but you also never outcast me from the group. I can respect a game where it may not appear the flashiest, but that’s because you didn’t need to be. My question to you is another theoretical. If Silas would have voted Jamal in that Jamal/Zach vote (or if Locky would have flipped and voted Jamal), what would your move have been with Jamal out of this game?

You are absolutely right that NuRaro had established their relationship. And that I was always in the majority. That proves my point. They chose to work with Phoebe and I over you and other oldVukus, at least temporarily. I'm sure part of it was strategic, but each of the NuRaros will likely tell you that my connection with them helped make their decision easier. And they chose to kill their own - even risking a tie vote - to keep me in the game. That is exactly the point that I was trying to make with that statement. They could have easily tossed Phoebe and I aside, but they did not, partially because of Phoebe and I's ability to create better relationships in three rounds than the ones you made in the first three.

Aubry, I did not need to connect with you. After the Silas vote, you went on invisible and never tried to contact me, despite the fact that we were working together at one point. Communication is a two-way street, and you are right that I failed on my end. But you also did not try on yours, instead trying to work through "proxies" like Andrea and Sarah before talking to me.

In the end, though, I never needed your vote in the game to stay alive, so I suppose it's only fitting that the trend continues. There was no reason for me to work with you at the F10, because I was already in a majority, and was likely in one of the best positions in that majority. Even as we moved on and worked on the Silas/Locky vote, you were still not in my long-term plans and neither was I to you. So what was I supposed to do? Make false promises? Lead you on to think that I was actually going to work with you? I chose not to communicate, and so did you. It is what it is. Good game.

I think you gained the most points by your opening speech. First of all talk to whoever had flipped out of Silas/Locky, determined why they had done so and what they planned to do during the next round. Then go and talk to everyone else like I did, and get their stories of what exactly had went down at the tribal council.

So we'd have something like this - Aubry/Andrea/Alicia/Zach/Silas(Locky) vs Hayden/Sarah/Jefra/Silas(Locky)

I'd talk to the flipper, Silas or Locky, and see if they would flip back to the side who voted Zach and I'd join them making it a 6-4 split. If they believed that they had burned their bridges and would not re join those who had voted Zach, I'd join the side that voted out Jamal making it again a 6-4 split but the other way round. Why the side who voted Zach would be my first preference, simply put, because I had been with them longer in the game, was more comfortable with them and had better existing working relationships with them. If myself and the flipper join your side, in my mind all the Zach voters get picked off one after another because not only would they not be in our immediate plans, but you had heavily implied to me along with Andrea as well, just how strong certain players were at challenges, and at merge you want to take out those immunity challenge threats. With the numbers getting smaller and smaller my plan would then to be telling all the OG Vuku players left that each of them need me to make a move against the others, and that voting me out and having all OG Vuku's left would be a very bad choice, making them doubt just how strong their relationships would be with each other, and painting myself in a positive light, showing how and why they need me still in this game.

Commenting on the first part regarding the three O's. I did outwit and outplay. 

Outwit:



I truly believe that I was HYPER aware of what was happening each and every round and my vote was ALWAYS based on what I knew other people were doing and I believed to happen is what always happened, with the exception of 1. Phoebe having the leave a tribal council and 2. Andrea's double vote, which still then ended with things going the way that I was wanting them to. This proves that I outwit because my keen intelligence, as per the google definition of wit, proved that I _knew_ what was happening and thus made my decisions based on that to move forward in the game as the rest fell short. 

Outplay: 

I did win an immunity challenge and also we both know that my strength in the tribal challenges was a key factor in my success in the premerge (1 hour madness, flash frenzy). Also, Phoebe had specifically made it a point during the Andrea boot to mention that it would be best if we had people that could beat Hayden, and everyone left in the game would have agreed that I had a better shot than Andrea at that point which also shows how I outplayed.

With Jamal and/or Phoebe having voted for Sarah in that round, I would have tried to play up an alliance at least between the four of us (Andrea, you, me, and Jamal), and voted out Hayden and then eventually you because I knew you guys had the strongest chances of beating me in a final 3.

At that point in the game, I had most recently been exposed to the NuRarotonga side which had its own dynamics and I could tell that NuRarotonga was going to want to stick together. In a merge situation, this was great news for me because it kept the heat off of me during one of the biggest votes of the season by not stirring the pot and voting against the grain of where I had been before, and I'd also voted with NuRaro already which we never had the pleasure of doing, and unfortunately I think it would have been too risky of a move for me to go against what I had built for myself going into the merge that quickly.

As far as having guilt for that choice? Yes, I guess I do feel a bit guilty for not being able to be the ally that you wanted me to be and for me to have given you two the seemingly cold shoulder. But, I don't want to live with that being a regret and I really think that if I had went any differently, there's a chance I didn't end up sitting here at the end. But going against you was never anything fun, but I had to weigh my options and realize that the pros did not outweigh the cons at that point and I had to separate how I was feeling to what I needed to move on.
