Week 1


The first season of Survivor Rise and Fall kicked off earlier this week, and in the battle between Rarotonga and Vuku, it was a Rarotonga who fell first. Despite an impressive performance in the opening challenge, James found himself the target by being just too aggressive at the challenge AND also a challenge threat.


Hi jaymes . Sorry to see you go so soon!  During our talk you felt you had everything under control.

1. Why do you think your tribemates decided to vote you off the island first? 

2. We saw Jamie leading the charge to vote you out; she felt you were playing too hard out of the gate and was very aggressive.  Why do you think she had that perception?

3. Who were you closest with on the island? Did you form any strong bonds/alliances?

4. Despite such a short time in the game, did you enjoy your Survivor Rise & Fall experience? Any favorite memories?

I was very chill about it all because I thought that after our abysmal challenge performance, no one would want to get rid of the person who contributed the most. little did i know lol

probably a combination of my shtick/weird way of talking which rubbed them the wrong way, me being vocal about the vote too early and me being a little impatient in the challenge. i was kinda losing my cool when it looked like no one was doing anything for the last lock. and chelsea was spouting out 5 digit answers for a 6 reel lock -_- but that probably made me come off as bossy or whatever. in the heat of the moment i couldnt display the necessary finesse towards people's social sensitivities.

mostly just me throwing out silas' name too early? but like leading a charge to vote someone out who was a strong challenge performer in round 1 is ... the definition of playing too hard out of the gate so lol. im a fan of irony so this just makes me laugh

i was part of one "alliance" with chelsea and spencer that chelsea pitched to me. in all honesty i didnt particularly care for either of them lmao. i'd say my strongest relationship was phoebe. i was starting to warm up to jamal. but they weren't anything groundbreaking. after talking to silas a bit i think i would have worked very well with him but alas.

i really enjoyed the idol hunt! very fun concept. i also enjoyed a specific conversation with silas about a somewhat sensitive topic to bring up. i wont share it here in case he actually meant what he said out of respect. its possible he was just trying to get me to say something controversial to use against me though lol. but it was still an interesting conversation so i didnt necessarily mind. i also enjoyed briefly talking about wrestling with jamal since not many people are fans of it!


thanks for casting me! sorry i flopped so bad but at least it made for a funny elimination to watch? i'll take it

Marcus is the next castaway voted out last night following yet another tribal shake-up. You were definitely interesting and caused some drama and unfortunately the events that happened during tribal council sealed your fate I hope you had fun!

2. Who did you have the hardest time getting along with this season? Why?


3. Did you have any sense of where they were planning to vote, heading into Tribal?

I'm not totally clear on what events happened during tribal council.



1. If you can change 1 thing about your game what would that be and why?

I would have gotten my internet password right the first time while we were doing the collaborative puzzle challenge. I think that would have really made a difference because I was slaying putting the pieces together, it just took me slightly longer to get to the puzzle page because of the shotty free internet I was using. That might have made the difference. I also probably shouldn't have been super comfortable that the guys had my back after inviting ME to a group chat. It's not like I asked for that, but I wasn't going to betray them either so it made little to no sense.


2. Who did you have the hardest time getting along with this season? Why?

I mean, I think the obvious answer was Phoebe. We just didn't click but I wouldn't say we didn't get along. She just wasn't as awesome as everyone else IMO.


3. Did you have any sense of where they were planning to vote, heading into Tribal?

Oh, definitely, especially when Jamal was pleading with Spencer and Silas to float Phoebe's name and Spencer said he would "lightly" float it and Silas didn't say anything at all. Honestly, they were so sketch that I knew something was up.


4. I would love to know more about your overall view of and approach to the game, wait did you have one or were you just waiting to come and see me at tribal giggles ?

Omg so funny, such a riot, true comedy genius. No. My approach was messed up from the moment the game start date fell around when I was going to be moving. I had my RL priorities and the sheer fact that I survived two tribal councils before dieing at the third consecutive one is astounding to me. I was really hoping to prove myself in the challenges and my internet was my biggest downfall in at least two out of three. The fact that I suck at math and mazes is just a bonus.

Sweet baby jesus I HOPE that isn't why they decided to vote for me. I'd prefer it be my shitty social game and not trusting me more than Phoebe, which is equally ridiculous but at least more acceptable.

Jaime becomes the fifth person voted out of the game. I think she started off this game in a good position and then the swap happens, and she is basically handed on a platter to Vuku, and there was really no way out for her.

1. If you can change 1 thing about your game what would that be and why?

I don't think I'd change anything. I'm definitely proud of the game I played and, although it got me here, I can walk out with my head held high because I was consistent and did the best I possibly could with the hand I was dealt.

2. What’s your biggest weakness in this game?

I've gone soft! Hahaha. I remember the last time I played an ORG I couldn't care less about people's feelings. This time around, even though I orchestrated the first 3 votes, I actually thought about who I was voting and how that was going to affect them. I had my suspicions that Silas was all over the place and talking to everyone but I still felt I had to look out for him. And that's all because my heart's gone soft. So, definitely that pinch of emotion was my biggest weakness.

3. Did you have any sense of where they were planning to vote, heading into Tribal?

I did. I'd settled down for the idea that they were going to split the votes, but that 3 votes were going Silas way and 2 votes were going my way. Since I was under the assumption that Silas had the idol (which was a lie) I figured that if Silas/Myself voted for Alicia then we'd tie it 2-2 and at revote maybe I'd sway Grant/Aubry/Andrea to keep me instead of Alicia.

4. I would love to know more about your overall view of and approach to the game?

Well, I think I've explained that in detail in my confessionals but my approach for the game was to get to know everyone on a personal level. Keep the scrambling within people I'd trust and to not be messy and all over the place. Unfortunately for me, I was dealt a very bad hand by fate and so none of that matter in the end.

Spencer becomes the seventh person voted out of the game. We never really knew what to expect from him as he made it through the game, week after week, Unfortunately his luck ran out and he was evicted this week.

Now that you're out of the game let's talk about you throwing the challenge. What's the deal with that?

Truthfully I thought I was running things too. So I knew I had a hard majority, Alicia would have been the easy out so I just cut my losses and tried to sail through. Guess that was a poor way to go about things.

Why do you think you were voted out by your alliance, was this a shock at all?

The running theory is that Zach essentially has been in lockstep with Alica since Day 1 and he started up an alliance the same way I did with Aubery and Andrea. And as he weaseled his way out of challenges, he built an unshakeable social bond with Alicia, and when the swap hit he probably was under Aubrey's skin too. Andrea probably just followed along with Aubrey and Silas of course sided with Zach cuz he was at a 5-1 disadvantage. So really...I think Zach was behind all of this. I wasn't shocked, but it felt kinda fun being straight up lied to.

Describe the remaining tribemates with one word only?

Alicia: Worthless

Silas: Gamebot

Zach: Cunning

Aubrey: Funny

Andrea: Lucky.

Who is playing the best game right now?

That I know, I say it would have to be Zach. Aubrey and Andrea, I don't think did much besides talking to me...as most people kinda agreed with. And Alicia got here by being physically carried. Im not sure about the Roa Vuku's...but they are comp beasts for sure. One of them is probably going to get to F3 because of this due to the unrealistic ideal of #VukuStrong. So if they hand one of them the crown I won't be shocked

Who are you rooting for? Against?

Well, Zach has my respect as a player, and I swear to god if Alicia is not gone NEXT I'll lose my mind. Other than that....I'll need to see more info to base a choice. Because to me I clearly didn't have the full idea on what is going on here
